Step 1. Remove Your Old Stud

Step 3. At Both Stud Ends, Place Your Separator Tool.

Next, place the separator’s non-forked end at the stud’s head, on the hub’s back side.

Step 4. Tighten Your Separator.

Now squeeze the separator tighter until your stud seats stably within the aluminum hub.

Turn the wrench clockwise on tightening the billet steel bolt pattern Corvette, which makes the stud’s head surely and slowly get pressed on the hub’s back side.

Use one of your fingers to check that the stud head is flush against the hub. Once that is confirmed, we can say your replacement is done.

Your new stud will become quite loose for now, but no worries; this will change once it’s properly seated in the correct wheel offset!

Step 3. Use Stud Installers or Conversion Wheel Adapters

Now slip stud installers or washers across exposed threads.

The names of these tools sound complicated, but they are actually just a piece of metal cylinder sliding across stud threads to speed up the seating procedure.

Most installers are cheap, but if you do not want to spend your money, getting a metal stack big enough to slip over these threads smoothly is alright.

Step 4. Secure Your Car’s Lug Nut

Lastly, tighten the nut securely using your fingers.

Thread the existing nuts onto your stud’s end – before twisting it clockwise and making the nut’s center bore stand directly against the installer/washer.

You should stop using the lug wrenches (or any available tool) now. Otherwise, the nut might get cross-threaded in the Corvette wheel locks and stuck tightly on the stud end.
